The solution.
The team at Flock Freight analyzed Berlin Packaging’s shipment profiles and network, and recommended our guaranteed terminal-free FlockDirect® service, which moves shipments via an alternative mode—Shared Truckload (STL).
With FlockDirect®, Berlin Packaging’s shipments are matched and combined with other freight going in the same direction to create a full load. The freight stays on the same truck, with the same driver, all the way to its destination, and they only pay for the space they actually need.
Berlin Packaging secured its first Shared Truckload shipment with Flock Freight in April of 2020. Now, Berlin Packaging books this service for all types of shipments. In fact, 80% of Berlin Packaging’s Shared Truckload shipments are larger than 12 linear feet.
While Berlin Packaging hasn’t stopped shipping LTL altogether, the company says Flock Freight’s Shared Truckload service is “superior to LTL by a long shot.”
